I think that seems like a bit of an overpay. I could see them entertaining Bradley alone but I prefer Bradley's defense. Would prefer you not derail the thread though. A Knicks front court of Okafor, Noah and Carmelo is interesting

I honestly think clarkson for Okafor would be a pretty good deal for both teams. Clarkson really provides them some scoring from the guard spot that would open up everything for Noel and embiid to operate

Honestly, it would depend how high Philly was on Clarkson.  And they are probably just better off waiting to see how Bayless, Henderson and Rodriguez shoot with Simmons controlling the ball.

are you really going to say anyone in the world needs to see how Rodriguez and bayless look? Bayless is so bad it's hard to remember he played for the Celtics and Rodriguez is a poor mans ish smith. Henderson could be solid but he is less of a typical guard

What they have in common is that they are guys they hope can spread the floor for their phenom interior scoring prospects like Okafor (and Embiid if he's healthy).   Rodriguez hasn't even played in the NBA since 2010, but he shot 49% and 35% from three.   Bayless shot 44% from three last season (2 three pointers per game).   Henderson shot 35% from three last season.

I suppose their plan will be to let Ben Simmons control the ball and keep utilizing Okafor as an offensive weapon, but they will need guys who can shoot and spread the floor.  That's why it makes no sense for them to trade for Marcus Smart.  But it's also why it makes a little sense for them to target someone like Jordan clarkson.  If they had confidence in his long-term potential as a shooter, maybe they'd make a move for him.  I don't think that's what they have in mind as a fair return for Okafor, though.

I'm not really buying this rumor at all after New York went out and paid Noah this past summer, but an Okafor/Porzingis fit would actually be fairly interesting. I think Porzingis is a 5 long-term if he can put on some weight, but for now that pairing might work with Porzingis' ability to stretch the floor and bit more mobility defensively on the perimeter.

I think Philly would take that TBH. Unless Colon Jello really has a hard on for Okafor and is set on trading Noel, which would be a mistake.
