Thoughts on the Paul George selection? I actually really wanted him at 8.

Its great value at #11 to get not only a franchise player, but a potential LeBron "stopper".

Good value pick.

Was my comment tantamount to treason in LeBron's kingdom?

Mercy, your Highness.

Edit: He got picked. I debated between Dame or KAT.

Lillard's probably not even the best PG available, but I loved, LOVED, how he stepped into the leadership role in Portland this past season. One of those rare guys that welcomes the pressures of being a cornerstone, along with the recognition and the paycheck.

Having a high-volume/explosive scorer next to Kawhi makes the rest of the roster construction easier too (though there are some names that would have tempted me more @ #14).

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I love that people are digging the KAT pick.

There's someone there on the top of my board before him, but I could not resist him being a Center, a position where there's not a lot of talent that can be effective in both ends of the floor.

Speaking of which. I wonder where that guy I debated taking at #12 ends up. He's dropping mightily.

I love KAT, he's gonna be a top 5 player in the next few years. I considered him back when I had the 8th pick, but didn't feel like going the TOFT route. Still though, heck of a guy to build a team around.

Thats a good thing about KAT. He's a TOTF pick, yet his first season is great enough to consider him a franchise player.

I'm seriously debating putting Karl Towns at PF?

I'd be selfish and ask anyone if you think that's a good idea...

I may have just made the first controversial pick of the Draft.

I love that I got KAT though. Not a lot of Centers today can do what he does.

I thought Draymond Green was the first controversial pick. I'm not saying I don't think he's really good, I just don't think he's the 5th best player in the NBA. I would have pulled the trigger on Westbrook well before Green.

Really depends on who is the best big man when you draft your next big man.

I think it's a waste of his talent. His shooting at the center makes him special. Great PF vs. Special C.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

It's doable. Towns is skilled enough to play the PF offensively and mobile enough to play PFs on defense.

.... but I like him more at center.

Really depends on who is the best big man when you draft your next big man.

I just looked at his defensive highlights, and he can cover guards good enough when switched. Which tells me he maybe quick enough to play PF.

Very interesting scenario I got here.

My thing is I don't want him defending very physical Centers that can draw a ton of fouls on him, or tax him too much physically by banging.

Not that he can't handle it, but if it means reducing his fouls and physical punishment, I might consider this depending on who's left on the board.

According to BB-Ref, he played 98% of his minutes at C last year and fouls/punishment were not an issue (only 3.4 fouls per 36 and he played a complete season at 32 mpg).

Thank you, that's good to know that fouls aren't a problem. Please accept my TP, Snively.

I'm still intrigued by this idea, though. Really am...
