  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I want to move the discussion back to James Harden.

I guess it is correct that franchise players are a premium, but I think there are going to be players available at 1.20 who may not be able to score 27 a game, but can do 20. And having a 2nd rounder will help that player get some help.

Of course this is just my opinion, but my experience in this Draft tells me that losing a 2nd is huge. A 2nd rounder normally are still borderline All-Star players, and that's something I think you want to be in the fray with to get some.

But this is just me, I'd take Dray over Harden. I have Green higher by three spots over James Harden. I understand that Harden is a scoring machine, but I'd rather have Green's versatility and all around play.

Uh, James Harden's fairly versatile himself: 6.1 rebounds, 7.5 assists.

Offensively he is. But the assists numbers and rebounding can be covered by Draymond, with an added defensive and position versatility. Dray may not score 27 a game, but I'd rather have him and find a scorer than have Harden and find a glue guy who's as good as Draymond, because it will be very difficult to do compare to getting scorers.

Draymond's all around game, position versatility, very good scoring, and excellent defense combined that he knows what it takes to win a title, couldn't be passed up by me. Out of the top 10 players or so oy Lebron, Steph, Kawhi and Draymond know what it takes to win it all. I preferred Green over Kawhi.

I think you're underestimsting how hard it is to find scorers who can legitimately be #1 options on good teams. Lots of guys score 20 or more a game. Ironically, 20 guys to be exact. However, a large group of them play for pretty medicore teams.

I love that I got KAT though. Not a lot of Centers today can do what he does.

True, but Dray can make it easy for them as he can playmaker himself.

It'll be interesting. With the modified snake, I think it will be hard to surround a high picked Draymond with enough scoring talent to build a championship caliber offense.

If CB gms are like the real ones, PPG is going to fly off the board pretty quick

I'd also add that I think Dray needs the right set-up to playmake at a high volume. He's not a primary creator. Needs others to create initial disruption of the D.

I seriously considered KAT at #9, but I thought Boogie was a safer choice.
Thank you, Isaiah!!!

Well I've moved all over the place today, but I'm happy to get Paul George at 11 and reunite him with the only coach he's ever had in Frank Vogel.

If it's a reach, it's not by much. Even if he's not top 12, he still might be the best center in the league as soon as next season.

Draymond at 5 is the draft's first controversial pick.
