We would've taken Skal this year if we bothered looking at mock drafts this early.  Give it some time.

Actually, we might have taken Brown, who was definitely in the top 5 of mocks this time last year.

Yep that's part of why I was still high on him.  I just thought he had a tough situation in Cal.  Showed potential for a while.

Avery Bradley was a player like that as well.  He was second to John Wall (some thought even better) but had a rough year at Texas.

But Skal was called the second best player in the class by many I saw in the past.

He was #2 yesterday. Absolute freak. Check out Dennis Smith too.

Danny loves his guards and those two fit the bill :D
is that why ainge chose a sf, then a pf, then a center with the first 3 of his picks in the last draft?  ::)

Seems like guys are already prepping to say the 2017 draft class is disappointing; but just look at the 2018 class!!!

C'mon.
its the 2022 draft that has me excited.

its never to early to start Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ing about future drafts around here, is it?

Happy to see a solid top 5 or 6 rather than two and the a (supposed) drop-off like this year. Even if the Nets are the worst team, we could still very well end up with the 4th selection. Regardless of how it works out, thank you Nets!

He was number one in many of the early Draft Express mocks.

Way too early to get wound up about this stuff for me. (yet here I am posting about it.   ;))

I think we should target 2023 instead, since LeBron James Jr. will be draft eligible that year.  (I'm mostly kidding.)

Ah, yes. Like me, you are the most dangerous kind of poster: He who simply has nothing better to do.

When do we get Memphis' unprotected 1 pick?

2019? 2020?

I could see them taking a dive by then. Especially if Marc Gasol declines.

Can Conley opt out early?

I think it's not unprotected until 2021.  Decreasing protections in 2019 and 2020 (top 8 and top 6 if I recall.)
