Hey! Where's triboy?
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

The time he spent in Springfield at the Hall of Fame admiring the bust some of you put there must have stunted his development.

Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Hey! Where's triboy?

He's looking for youtube highlights Mickey in order to dispel some of our collective thoughts. Honestly, Triboy is probably done with him too. That's why he wanted Sabonis so bad.

I guess the Free Mickey movement was short lived.

I wish Danny has spent more of his energy pre-season on getting another big who can rebound and block shots. He has only Horford and Johnson.

Height, physical development, inability to switch on guards in space or handle bigs in the post, anything resembling an offensive game, etc. Pretty much everything.

Lol, TP ;D. My personal favorite thing about Mickey is that he's a great leaper...with marginal lateral quickness, in the little I've seen of him, of course, lol ;D. Ugh.

He was the 31st pick, he's not a bust. I think both RJ and Mickey have NBA skills that other teams saw but the reason they went that low was because it will take time to get the rest of their game to catch up.
For Mickey, his contract is designed to get us his bird's rights before he can become a FA. To me that's an indication that we want to have him around for long enough to develop him into the finished product. If he becomes a rotation guy then that's a win for us. To do that he needs to improve his range and learn the defensive schemes we run. At that point he is a shot blocker, a PnR defender and has range. He'd be a very decent 4th big in our system alongside Horford, KO and Amir. I suppose he'd compete with Jerebko for minutes at that point

Pretty much.

Ainge is a former MLB prospect, and he has repeatedly stated and shown that he a big believer in the minor-league system.

Not wanting to bring a player up too early on a good team does not equate to that player being terrible.

If Ainge and Brad didn't believe in him they wouldn't have given him a guaranteed deal in the first place.
