  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Another day, another tidbit.
Who knows if this guy has any credibility.
Pretty solid haul for Blake if true.
Rudy Gay ain't worth Rozier and extra picks IMO, but if it was the key to getting a deal done then I can see Rozier heading out.

Stewart on 985 saying SAC/BOS/LAC were working on Griffin/Pierce to C's, Rozier/picks to SAC, Olynyk/AB/Gay/18 BKN to Clips. Doc backed out
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Is "backed out" the same as "outright rejected"?

Is "backed out" the same as "no recent discussions have taken place according to multiple legitimate sources"?

Rozier, AB, Olynyk AND picks including BKN 18 would have been a heavy price to pay for essentially Griffin.  I would have done it for Cousins, but not Griffin.

It's based on your perspective, quite simply

Would you feel the same if that was the rumored package offered for Okafor?

So our depth chart would've then looked something like this-

4) Griffin - Pierce (like him better at the 4 at this point)
3) Crowder - Brown
5) Horford - Johnson
1) Thomas - Jackson (I penciled him here, but in all likelihood it would be a 3 guard rotation with Thomas, Smart, and Green)
2) Smart - Green

Zeller
Jerebko
Mickey
Bentil
Hunter
Young (probably out)

Too bad. I'd be into that deal. Thomas/Smart/Crowder/Griffin/Horford is a Finals unit, IMO.
