Hey all, not sure if this is posted else where, but i'm curious as to who will be tanking this year since it is supposedly a loaded draft

The Brooklyn pick is gold, but who's gonna be in the way?

Sixers and lakers again? Phoenix? Maybe dallas?

Are we a lock for a top three?

I'm worried that more teams will be tanking this season knowing the draft will be filled with talent
I trust Danny Ainge

Sixers and Lakers might be as bad as bottom 5 teams; Dallas is much better than that and they have not shown an open intention to tank the last few years.

Nugs, Phoenix and Minny should be p bad too, the same goes for Sac even if they keep Cousins.

There are some teams I am curious to see how they will go in the regular season:  NOP, Milwaukee (due mainly to their self-destructive coach) as well as NYK's all injury team, although none of these should threaten our precious Brooklyn pick.

forgot to mention chicago; not sure how well having three ball dominant players in the starting line up will turn out. they might make the playoffs, but they might turn into comedy gold too  ;D

Tankers:

Phoenix
Miami
New Orleans
Memphis (if Gasol's foot isn't healed)

There will be a few more after mid season.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

If the Knicks have a few injuries... It might makesense. I have no idea what that team is doing/thinking though. It's like the 2010 dream team.

If blatant tanking practices continue I wouldn't be surprised if the Feds launched a fraud investigation.

It's possible the NBA has studied this possibility. And, they are not so worried for they haven't changed any policy in this regard that I'm aware of.

6ers Lakers and Suns should all be real bad. after that, OKC and Sacramento are a trade away from the tank. New Orleans and Denver should both be pretty bad as well.
Tankers:

Phoenix
Miami
New Orleans
Memphis (if Gasol's foot isn't healed)

There will be a few more after mid season.

Memphis gave 150 mil to Conley and maxed out Parsons. They wont be tanking.
Miami will be bad, but theyll need to trade Dragic or Whiteside before they are truly tanking
New Orleans shouldnt be any worse than last year

Philly's roster got better
Lakers dont have their pick
Brooklyn doesnt have their pick
Suns are healthy
Twolves have enough people
Pelicans  can possibly tank
Denver didnt change much
NYC got better
Bucks can prolly tank
Sac always tanks
Orlando got better

Washington can be a dark horse for a tanking season

this next season there are a bunch of teams still grasping at straws and are resisting a proper rebuild.

i totally forgot the lakers don't have their pick

Although i thought it was top three protected. If it's not, then they obviously won't tank.

Hopefully Sacramento.

If they get to the trade deadline, and are several games out of 8th place, they finally have to pull the plug on the Cousins-era right?

Plus that Brooklyn swap may have cemented its value by then too (hopefully as a lock for top 3), which could only help grease the wheels for a blockbuster mid-season trade.

That's my current dream (along with Warriors imploding and Durant changing teams again).

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

There'll be at least one "sure-fire" playoff team that, due to injury/injuries will end up dropping in the standings and decide to just do a full tank job, similar to the Suns last year, or the Bucks in 2014.  It'll be interesting to see what teams start to "struggle" after the first couple of months
I'm bitter.
