AWESOME!!! Got my man Draymond. I had it down to him and Kawhi. I wanted a star that knows how to win a title. Draymond knows how!

That's a great pick. I really thought he would drop around the top 10 mark, but it seems like his versatility and mentality is too much to pass on.

I'm surprised he went that high. With that high of a pick I think you need an alpha scorer. Dray can't be the best player on a really good team IMO.

Kyle Lowry, Dwayne Wade, 13th pick in even numbered rounds, 18th pick in odd numbered rounds.

There's plenty of scoring available. Certainly not someone who will drop 25 a game, but there should be enough for the next two rounds to get a couple that could combine around 40 per.

The versatility on both ends that Draymond has to offer though is a tremendous asset to have. Nick himself is also already in prime position to still be good if he decides to go small with Green.

Perhaps but with Westbrook and Harden still on the board?

Discussion is great, but try and keep it to a minimum if possible....

it makes it harder for folks to come in, scan the thread and make their pick if they're doing it last min (which many folks have to do).

Trade Announcement:

Magic trade: 1.8 and 4.8

Clippers trade: 1.20, 2.11, and 8.20

Smartacus you can pick now until 12:20 for pick #1.8

Gave up one full round for James Harden?

Not sure about this deal. That's a little bit of an overpay IMO. You're not going to get a James Harden alpha player at 1.20 maybe, but there's a bunch of players who will be available that can score within the 1.20 range and not need to give up a 2nd rounder, where it's possible to get some really good players.
Top 10 players are exorbitantly expense in the NBA market. I think it's worth moving up to grab an elite scorer (who I expect to have a huge bounce back season this year)

We'll just have to see the answer is probably somewhere in the middle, my mindset was mostly that the difference between Harden and the player at 20 was as high or close to the difference between the 2nd and 4th round players.

If you want someone to pick for you, you need to send them a list...

I'm happy to do it if you send me one....

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
With pick 1(10), the Bucks select Chris Paul

No. 7 in win shares, No. 8 in VORP, No. 6 in BPM last season all while giving the Clippers one of the best offenses in the league even without Blake Griffin.

And he's in all those delightful State Farm commercials!
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Yeah, passing on Rus is interesting.

But this is just me, I'd take Dray over Harden. I have Green higher by three spots over James Harden. I understand that Harden is a scoring machine, but I'd rather have Green's versatility and all around play.

I like how the draft board went.

I'm getting either of the two guys I wanted. Awesome.

brief commentary is fine here (along with memes and scrolling text) but longer/more in-depth or existential back and forths during the draft should occur at:

Uh, James Harden's fairly versatile himself: 6.1 rebounds, 7.5 assists.
