This is a Great signing for Brown I think.. Someone who he will fight for minutes with and should be able to at some point late in the season surpass..

Green is a classic role player--he shoots threes. He will get you double figures every game. Brown is a different type of player. Stevens will use these guys to advantage at different times. Something he excels at.

This guy has sucked eggs for two straight seasons. Frankly, he's essentially only had one good year in his career. He's been a huge negative for most of his career. Not a fan but at least it'll only be for a year.

In theory he should be a league-average 3-point shooter and in theory he should provide reliable offense off the bench, which is something we haven't had in ages. No bird rights so he's probably gone either way next year, but checks a lot of boxes in the interim.

>People complain that we need shooting
>Danny signs a cheap shooter on a short-term deal
>People complain that he will take time away from non-shooter

As cheap signings go, I kind of like it. We need shooting, especially at SG/SF, and the playoffs last year proved we need depth. Green gives us both, and it's short term. If Brown can't get minutes over Green (pretty much the definition of a replacement player), then he doesn't deserve them.  I think the biggest effect will be making Brown work a little harder in practice (especially on his shooting), which is a good thing

I give it a solid 7/10, 8/10 if it's for less than the room exception
I'm bitter.

i like signing, but that may be a little optimistic

Nice!  He's improved a lot since he played here.  He's a heck of a scorer.

The prodigal son returns, huh?  We could use a shooter on the wing.  Not a long-term solution but I'm good with it.  Have to see terms though.

EDIT:  1 year is good pretty much regardless of $.  Looks good.

He put up 9 per game in 22 mpg last year, so that's pretty accurate.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Excited to see him play, great size for a bench 2/3 and a reliable 3 point shooter.

Welcome back Gerald Green.

Crazy that Green isn't offered more than the minimum :o

Sounds about right.

Green on a one-year vet min deal is a solid get.
