That is too funny. It's sounds as though Crowder felt like he gave the game plan to Durant to beat the Warriors and he chose to join them anyway.

Now we're going to beat him Crowder will shut down Durant, Marcus Smart and Bradley will shut down Thompson and Curry, and we beat the Warriors and 7 games and Durant decides to join Boston after all, the end.

Golden State might run the table on the entire season this year

Bench took a hit. Probably fewer reg season wins but a clean road to the chip.

Nostradamus of Basketball..hehehe

Me still thinks we as a team are the only ones composed to give the Warriors fits..our personnel matches up well against them.
Cavs were given the title the moment Bogut went down and Green was suspended. But a fully healthy GS team beats the Cavs in any Bof7 match.
The moment AB went down our hopes in the playoffs also went kapoof..compounded by KO and Jae not playing even 80%.

I really just wish we can find out how good this team really is. Be healthy in the playoffs and see what we really got against the beast of the east.

Did their bench take a hit?  I thought they added guys like David West.  Hopefully the guys they have can hold their 100 point leads every night.

Well they lost Barnes, Bogut (starters), Speights, Ezeli, and Barbosa, so that's 3 bench players. Also if you think they start Iggy then there is another bench player gone to replace Bogut. Will be interesting to see what West brings as he will be 36 to start the season, I think losing Bogut and Barbosa in particular are big losses and I think regular season they will get worn down a bit.

if they do lose to us, it's almost a guarantee that he won't join us IMO. his legacy can't handle him doing that twice. he will also give it another go or more if they get that far, he will think they can do it next try. there is the ready made excuse of it being their first season together before the season starts.

I'm over it/him.

Were still an impact player away from contention, I think. The east still belongs to Cleveland (barring injuries).

However, on the off-chance that Marcus Smart takes a massive leap AND Brown is better than what we've seen, then maybe we will take the east! Seems really doubtful though.

West can't stretch the floor like Speights, nor he can protect the rim like Bogut does. Same could be said about Zaza.

  • That's turrible
I still don't think that even with Durant, this team is as good as last year's GSW team. That team was deep with great role players in addition to stars. They lost some significant role players. They lost rim protection with Bogut. The offense will be epic, no doubt. I'm not sure about defense though.

That's an overstated problem. They'll likely start Curry-Thompson-KD-Draymond-Zaza and rotate in Iggy, Livingston, and David West off the bench. With their talent, they can stagger minutes and have one of KD or Curry on the floor at all times.

I'm genuinely excited about jaylen. But everyone needs to seriously pump the brakes on him contributing anything significant this year. He is still learning.

They've gotten worse from last year imo

They lost bogut who was a wide body for setting screens and clogging the paint although he was horrible for picking up fouls

They lost festus he was also large and could protect the paint

They lost an important piece in speights who began to shoot 3's effectivley mid-season and was just a great scorer

Lost Barbosa who gave really effective minutes in the short burts he came in for at either end of the floor

They got pachulia who is a post defender but cant block shots

West who can shoot mid range jumpers and thats about it he might practice more 3's in this system but  cant defend what so ever

Got KD who is of course a top 5 player

There starting 5 is amazing but there is only 1 ball and you cant effectivley use 4 superstars in the same lineup
