Assuming a deal that sends out only picks and non-rotation young guys, which player would slide into the Celtic's rotation and be the best fit, as the team is currently made up.

I can't discount Blake's passing and scoring ability (especially with a center like Horford), but I'm personally I'm in love with the idea of putting Boogie and Horford together and bullying everyone else in the post while not sacrificing spacing. Toss in the likes of Crowder, Smart, Brown, and Bradley, and they would drive other teams nuts.

Impossible to say without seeing the deal...seems extremely unlikely that non-rotation young guys are not part of it...whole thing is so theoretical that I'm not sure of the value of the discussion.  I'd rather talk about realistic deals.

If this were done in 2017 FA, I'd go with Blak Griffin. Fills our weakest position and he's a great passer.

Still, the allure of Westbrook is strong.

Imma go with Blake Griffin--cause I think he's been used all wrong in LA...Westbrook is a stud--but might hijack the team all for himself.
I can see Boogie working for half season, before he once again starts to pout like the baby he is.

The question wasn't about the deal, it's about which player would fit our team best, as it's currently constructed.

Gordon Hayward would fit in best because he knows CBS, he would not be the best player though because that is another thing entirely.

Best fit would be hayward, but he doesnt move the needle much although he is a nice upgrade. Cousins is a good fit as well, not as good as hayward but will improve us a lot.

I could see a lot of these guys fitting
Butler, cousins, griffin, Hayward, love  all seem to fit
Stevens coaching is pretty versatile and focus on the players strengths allowing for flexibility in our roster

Hayward and butler probably fit the best
In terms of them being versatile defenders being able to play 1-3 as well as being good scorers to take pressure off of horford and Thomas

I'd go with Griffin. Great complement on offense with either Al or Kelly. Actually moves the needle on defensive rebounding, which has been a team weakness (and which the loss of Sullinger did not help...). Assist %s in the point guard range and at the same time super low turnover %s.  Doesn't clog the lane, and is actually effective with his mid range jumper.

I would call him the perfect Danny Ainge big man – but he pretty much fits on any team.

Cousins is a better player, but Blake is a better fit. I'm skeptical about pairing Horford and Cousins; it's too easily countered with quick 4's.

I note with interest that  no one up to this point has chosen okafor in this poll.

Maybe a word about Jimmy Butler here: presumably the advent of the Jaylen Brown era has put an end, for now, to any active interest by Boston in acquiring Jimmy Butler.

I'm not sure if Gordo is an upgrade. I'd prefer Crowder's less offense and more defense and don't think we can sacrifice Bradley's defense.
