A Sherrod just tweeted that there is no trade.

You better read it again.

What's it say?

Whoops I misread it. No deal yet.

But A. Sherrod has less credibility than Deadmik3

Is he the guy who is always wrong?

Yes, you might know him better as Hackley.

I really wish people would stop quoting idiot trolls from twitter and realgm forums.

Maybe we trade for Griffin, but that's something we've speculated on since his incident.  It's not a difficult rumor to make up.  There was also a lot of buzz about him being moved to make room for Durant.   Griffin and Cousins trade rumors are the next logical plausible rumors with Butler off the market.  That doesn't mean the trolls on twitter know what's going on.

It's a lot more interesting than the incessant Danny Ainge is God and Jaylen Brown is a star threads that get posted every day.

It's not even that.  Some of these guys might actually know someone who knows someone, but like Wyc said the other day 80% of rumors are floated out by agents looking out for their clients.

Anyways...there is no way any of these Griffin or Westbrook rumors are true until we have a source with ties to the Celtics who can confirm that the Celtics have spoken to either player's representatives.  Then we will know an extension discussion is taking place.  Then we will know a trade is real.

Not to mention the Danny is a terrible GM, Brown is a bust, threads, which are much more ludicrous.

Ludicrous is in the eye of the beholder.

What's funny about all these rumors is this:

People believe whatever affirms them: You want Griffin, so you buy into the rumors. You hate Griffin, and all of a sudden some newspaper reporter is always telling the truth.

American society started slipping when we quit looking for facts, and started looking for whatever supports what we want to believe. We want to be affirmed, not informed.

Using basketball rumors of all things to springboard into a condemnation of society as a whole is a pretty striking example of preferring affirmation over information itself.

Look this is a major rumor, so if we get anymore personal sniping I'm just going to temp ban the culprits instead of locking it. So cut it out.

Danny should hold tight ......Griffin s contract is up after another year.

No reason to waste assets

Wait for the other GMs to make the moves to avoid losing stars for nothing.

That is so easy to tweet out without any support.  OF COUSE there is no trade, until there is one.   ;)  A lot of sports journalists don't have any real inside connections and are just saying things based on intuition.

Not that the general sentiment is wrong. I mean a whole bunch of people convinced themselves some random high school kid somehow had the inside scoop on KD because they wanted it to be true. However the little "America started slipping when" line is a pretty big Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ing leap.
