Awful trade for Cleveland. AB's good, KO may be good, and Jerebko's JAG vs Love who is a top 25 player on a cheap contract. Keeping it simple:

BOS Cousins
SAC Love
CLE AB, Crowder

Works in the ESPN trade machine and works much better for the Cavs. We get the best player. SAC gets the next best player on a good contract, and Cavs get two very good players that fit and are on great value contracts. We win this deal, so we need to add picks to balance the value.

BOS Cousins
SAC Love, BKN 18, MEM 1st
CLE AB, Crowder, LAC 1st

We give up two very good players on good contracts and a very high 1st. a mid 1st (with upside) and a late first for the top center in the NBA. which is the toughest position to fill with an elite player. Cavs get 2 very good two-way players who add mucho defense (because they are not going to beat GSW with offense) and fix the Love misfit. SAC gets rid of a headache from a team that doesn't have the culture to manage it, gets a top 25 player, and three firsts. one of which is a lock to be a top 5 pick and one that could easily be a lottery pick.

Seems balanced enough to be a Win-Win-Win deal.

The whole idea of trading for Cousin is to win championships. With that trade we just solidified Cleveland's finals appearance.

Oh right. Because we were beating Cleveland and going to the Finals with our current lineup anyway.

I am pretty sure [a healthy] AB or Crowder would have been more effective than for the Cavs in the finals last year, never mind both and a first. Love may very well still be good, but there are no guarantees - CLE wins this deal. If the goal is to win a championship by bringing in Cousins, we probably shouldn't trade two major core pieces in AB and Crowder to do so. I understand BKN pick(s) will be involved, though.

I definitely think we can beat Cleveland with a Cousins/Horford/Thomas Big 3 so long as the supporting cast includes Bradley, Crowder and Smart. Even if the Cavs replaced Love with Anthony, I still think we could beat them.

Obviously we're going nowhere this year if we move Bradley AND Crowder -- Cousins or no Cousins.
