Kyrie just came through big time in the NBA finals to bring the Cavs their first title. He got th job done in the clutch when nobody else could score. They are not trading him. He's also much younger than CP3.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Good idea actually. Doubt it happens given Kyrie's clutchness in finals but hey...never know.

CP3 is better than Kyrie but smaller window of greatness.

Would be awesome to see Westbrook and Lebron vs Durant and Curry in the finals.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Cavs.

Man for man, Kyrie > CP3. The CP3 we knew more than 5 years ago is not the same as the one playing for LAC. More importantly, age advantage is on Kyrie.

Good idea (somewhat similar to mine the other day that had CLE <-> BOS with IT4 and a draft pick instead of Kyrie).  I think this one is even more logical.  Not sure Cleveland says yes, but not sure they say no either.

I think CP3 is an upgrade over Kyrie.  Kyrie did have 4 very good games in the Finals, but he also had 3 stinkers -- 7/22, 5/14, 7/18 shooting with pretty mediocre/poor defense and no playmaking (7 total assists in those 3 games).  CP3 is a better defender, better playmaker for teammates, and has never had Kyrie's luxury of being a secondary focus of an opposing defense.  Kyrie's age makes it a difficult trade to make, but the Durant acquisition means Cavs can't sit still.
