Agreed I'm sports depressed today so please excuse the pessimism. Most of my friends already don't like the nba so this is my outlet. Ha. I've always been defending the nba against myths like "nobody plays defense". But the league is ruined if this is going to stay this way. This trend will just continue. I already gave up talking about movies with friends cuz I love the DC movies( I'm in the minority) but every movie convo results in a bashing of what I love. The same with sports. Convo ends in a bashing of the nba that I have loved. Is there a biston underwater tiddliwinks league out there?

The crazy thing was that before Durant moved, the league was fairly even. The top 4 teams all had a shot at winning a title next year. Basketball was fun again, and then Durant shat on it for the rest of us. What a loser.

The only hope is for the Warriors to lose in the playoffs to the likes of the Spurs. Then the Durant sweepstakes will happen all over again.

I'd definitely say no. Crazy even though he's a top 4,  5 guy in league at 28 he'd be too old by the time we could contend. Insane.

If he's open to extending, I'd certainly do that.

If he's standoffish, probably not.

Interestingly, it sounds like Westbrook would be, according to the OKC media. They say he is open to playing in California or the northeast, because of his affection for the style scene.

I just don't think it's a lock that he's traded. They can renegotiate his current salary from $17.8m to $25.8m and extend him from that point with the new increases. If you're Russell, I think you take this as a slight and put a little extra chip on your shoulder. OKC needs to tap into that.

No matter how much KD defended him by calling Mark Cuban an idiot when he suggested Russ wasn't a star, KD still walked in free agency. I left a team that was right there with GS this offseason.

Hell no.

I think the expected odds of those four assets combined is more than one Westbrook. Something like 1.75 Westbrooks, maybe 2. And we'd have them all on rookie contracts.

If you can get Westbrook for a few picks, and maybe some players that are already redundant on the roster, then you do it.

Show Westbrook the fans, support, and you can still reel in good endorsement deals if you're one of the brightest stars. This guy has the potential to be better than our generation's CP3/Curry.

Uh Westbrook is the same age as Curry, Curry is only 8 months older.

But that's only if he agrees to at least a 2 yr extension.

So what could we put around Westbrook to beat golden state? I'd be afraid to deal a couple potential 19 year old studs( no lock or anything but even 1 19 year old stud would be nice.)
