...Russell Westrook.

We have the young guards and future picks to make it happen.

Just do it.

and what do you suggest we trade for this one year rental who will bolt to LA next offseason? A Brooklyn pick? Maybe IT or Crowder?

We already have an all star at PG who is the face of our team. Folks around here would really throw that away for a one year rental who might take us to the ECF?

If OKC trades Westbrook, it will be to LA. He's a lifelong Laker fan from LA who played at UCLA and pretty much screams Showtime, so they're going to get him next offseason at the latest.

No.  Not unless OKC makes him available in a fire sale.  And by that I mean absolute dirt cheap, practically free.

Westbrook is an unrestricted free agent next summer and is almost 100% likely to want to sign with one of the two LA teams, both of which will have cap space to do so.   LAC would obviously have to decide whether to move on from CP3 in favor of the younger RW, but for the Lakers it would be a no-brainer to go after Westbrook aggressively.

Westbrook was born in Long Beach and went to UCLA.  He's a California kid through and through.

No way do I want Danny to give up anything of value to a guy like Westbrook who would be a one-year rental.
NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.

Nope. Butler without question. Unless Russ wants to play SG.

Not true.

Westbrook has actually expressed preference for "either coast." He's hung up on the style capitals of the U.S.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

I wouldn't be averse to it but it's basically just a one year rental. If he leaves us in FA, then we just threw our assets away.

I think Westbrook is top 5 myself but sure there can be valid arguments to be made.
