Spurs has to dump him for Gasol, he's making $7m, only one year contract, next year is not guaranteed.

He can backup 3 positions, could be a replacement for Zeller?

Word is Duncan might retire, so no need to move a contract.  But we have the cap room for him, and he'd be a useful bench player.

Saw somewhere today the Spurs have picked up Duncan's option.

Yeah, that's incorrect.  It was a player option that Duncan picked up last week, but if he wants to retire, nothing is stopping him.

I have a hunch they'll trade for Monroe. I don't see those kids up front helping right away, based on what I saw tonite. The Sixers have a couple bigs, Woods? and Holmes, who looked pretty good. Brown had a tough time driving on them, but hit a lot of foul shots. Hunter and Rozier stood out. Hunter can shoot, at least at this level. And play a little D.

I would love to get Diaw at cheap money for our 2nd team.

Yeah, 5 years ago ;D.

He'll end up playing for $300.00 for Golden State...Zaza just signed there for dirt money....jerks.

Yeah. He'll probably take a new coffeemaker and some of Durant's toe jam to play there.

Good thing I wasn't hungry when I read that ;D.

Spurs will pay Duncan either way. They did the same with someone else a few years ago. Maybe McDyess. That was always the plan. Duncan takes less money on the first year but gets 2 years to make up for it regardless of whether or not he actually plays the 2nd year.

That was the plan anyway. 12 months ago.

David Lee didn't exactly fit here.  Not sure how happy Diaw would be sitting for long stretches as we try to develop players. Diaw is a good vet though.

These are the three that make most sense.

Duncan picked it up. It doesn't matter though, if he retires then it comes off the cap

He's gone to the Jazz, only cost a 2nd round pick, I guess Danny really has no interest in him at all...

He's here in Manila playing for France for the Olympics Qualifier. They just squeaked past the Philippines team last night.

He played significant and meaningful minutes. I think Yabusele patterned his game on Diaw. Only Yabu has better range.

Pass.

Apparently not. Utah got him for a player drafted in the second round. I wonder why they gave him away so cheap.

San Antonio needed to dump his salary to make room to sign Gasol.
