Let me start this off by saying I don't even know if LAC are considering a trade. But Blake will be an FA after this season and they're already capped out with no way to really improve. When Blake was injured in the latter half season, CP3 and DeAndre seemed to really thrive in the pick & roll. Maybe it'll make sense for them to get a shooter at the 4 to give that duo even more space. Here's what I'm proposing:

LAC Sends: Blake Griffin
BOS Sends: Jaylen Brown, Kelly Olynyk, a Brooklyn draft pick, and one of our own draft picks in the next few seasons.

I like the idea of a Griffin/Horford frontcourt.

It's more or less impossible for LAC to remain intact beyond this year so I suspect that we could get him if we wanted him badly enough, either through free agency or trade. The fit with Horford is also pretty good (although to be fair, every big man is a good fit with Horford)

LAC cannot expect to receive two high draft picks for a player that may or may not stay with them.

The Bklyn pick would be high, the C's pick would likely be mid-late 20's since we'd hopefully be winning.

I think the Clippers are going to stick with B.Griffin in the belief that he will re-sign there.

Thus, I think waiting for free agency is only option to get him. Outside of a king's ransom.

I know the answer, the Cavs will trade Love for Griffin, because Griffin said to Doc he wants to ring chase too at the end of his contract.

The passing from the 4 and 5 would be ridiculous.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

I still think at some point Chris Paul gets traded for Kyrie Irving.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

Agreed. It'd make up for the fact that we don't have a true facilitating PG. You can run as open of an offense as you want because both are skilled and willing passers.

Paul + Griffin for Love + Irving would make for an interesting move. Both teams might improve from such a trade.

Blake Griffin would be a great pick up, IMO. Offensively, I think he'll mesh with Horford quite well and we'll really be playing inside out (since both big men are playmakers).

But would IT-Bradley-Crowder-Blake-Horford be enough to contend? Can that lineup unseat the Cavs and defeat the Warriors?

I think it could certainly beat the Cavs. The warriors would be tough but you never know how a team is going to play together until the season gets going. If the move came along you gotta do it

Team doesn't have the right pieces to trade for him. Still wouldn't hurt to try.

Why do people put up these panic trade moves? You already said that Blake is FA in the next summer so why would you risk on the idea of signing an injury prone, head case star that might cost our future and might not resign?

It's not like Danny came home empty handed. He brought us Horford and I'm confident that he will bring in some impact player on the next free agency.

Keep the flexibility we have.
