The Celtics should not be used to get a better deal elsewhere, and that is what he is doing.

Even if he goes to OKC, he'll be getting exactly the same deal he would with the Celtics.

Westbrook is a better PG than Isaiah Thomas unfortunately...and that would be the deal breaker.

The only bad issue for Horford following KD to OKC .....is IF OKC doesn't win a title ......pretty sure Durrant goes to GS next year anyway.   So then Westbrooke wants out ASAP ......leaving Horford stranded on a rebuilding OKC. To finish his career. ......this might be less desirable given equal money and he might choose Boston.   

Horford has a one year shot to win with KD .....or go to,Boston .....Houston isn't doing anything.

Bostons best shot at landing Horford ......is KD going to GS or Clippers this year.   Then he might as well sign with Boston.

I'd prefer Millsap to Horford to be honest, though more C minutes would probably be more useful.

Not that I ever believed that either Durant or Horford, or both, were coming here, but let's say that Durant re-signs with OKC and takes Horford with him - does this not almost completely eliminate the possibility of Durant leaving the Thunder next year?  That team could very well win it all, and if that's the case, why would him or Westbrook choose to 'take their talents' elsewhere?

That's what it's looking like. Probably get that 5th year and return to Atlanta. I'll lose some respect if he returns to that team.
