Durant meets with OKC - went very well
Durant meets with GSW - went very well
Durant meets with LAC - went very well
Durant meets with BOS - went pretty well

sources say Durant has a 90% chance of signing with all the teams he met with

Watch. When he meets with us it'll be "meeting went poorly, Boston was not prepared, Danny lowballing". Media will twist it into a poor meeting
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

No surprise there.

The Clippers have Chris Paul. JJ Reddick, Blake Griffin, Deandre Jordan.  A championship coach in Doc.  Add KD to that list, hard not to be excited.

Except they have 77 mill tied up in 7 players. That leaves 16mil for KD? More? Less? 4 vet signings.

Possible, but man thats tight.
All they really need to do is get someone to take Pierce, Wilcox and Dawson off their books and they'll have the following under contract:

Paul - 22.8
Jordan 21.1
Blake - 20
Reddick 7.3

That gives em about 23 mil to offer Durant.  What's a few million here and there.  I don't think money matters as much as people think.  He's going to get a huge boost in his Nike deal by leaving OKC.

I just posted somewhere else, where I said Tanguay is an idiot, apparently this came up shortly after and Felger did this piece

Felger - look at all the teams he is meeting with and it makes some sense, but Boston?

He's definitely not. But networks will make it seem that way.

None of these people know what they are talking about.   Boston has a legit shot.  Clips have a legit shot.  OKC and Spurs have a legit shot.  Maybe even Miami has a legit shot.  Durant will make a decision after he meets with these teams and I suspect it will be a long-term decision.  He wanted to hear teams out who he respected and who his agent suggests might be a good long-term fit for him.  We're on the list, because he's interested in playing here.

I suspect that Durant was probably in awe in his rookie season when we created the Big Three. It got him some exposure to our history, tradition, etc. It probably was especially memorable for him as he transitioned from being a Supersonic to a Thunder (in the middle of nowhere). I really think he digs that and would love to go down in the history books as a Celtic who added to the championship list of Russell, Bird, etc. The winningest franchise in league history still means something to some folks.

Yeah I don't get why it's weird.

It's a long shot, no doubt.  We would all be shocked if he chose to sign here.  But...it does make sense.

The Cs have a great cap situation.  They have a very young roster.  They have talent.  They won almost 50 games and beat both Conference champions on the road.  Save for a brain-fart over the Xmas/New Year's break we are talking about the the #3 team in the East in 2105 and a top 7 team in the NBA.

That doesn't even get into the the tremendous amount of assets the team still has for the next 4 years.

Eh, I wouldn't hate it if he signed with them. Get Pierce another ring!!

I'd rather the Spurs if it's not us though.

Given that it's coming from Broussard, I would take it with a grain of salt. He probably correlates the fact that the meeting took 4 hours as a sign that KD got blown away.

Jack of all trades, master of none.

Yeah, right, Broussard has zero credibility.
