Yeah, if Durnant stays with OCK this would be great. Show KD how good Gasol and Horford is for the C's, and then hopefully he bounces next season to Boston.

I think they both fit well, you probably don't have to pay Pau that much since last season he made some thing like 7 mil.

I just posted in the other thread I thought they would sign another big if they got Horford and not Durant. Gasol on a short deal would make sense. Biyombo or Ezeli or somebody like that would, too. Or maybe they go to a scorer like Deng.

I'd rather sign Horford and make a deal to bring Noel over from Philly. I think he can get got for spare parts and the C's need to consolidate that roster a bit. Plus, I think you can play Noel as a backup center or play the both of them together. Horford is good that way.

I like Noel, too,  BUT he's a 1 year rental.  Why give up something like 2 or 3 #1's and either a Crowder or a Smart for a rental?  If DA wants him so bad, wait a year.  And, I don't think, of course I don't know, but I doubt KD might base his decision on a Noel.  But now, get Horford, KD might play.....and get Howard ....increases our chances for KD a LOT.

Now I'm not even sure its possible but maybe Howard feels he's being disrespected around the league and is getting low balls offers...so he "might" opt for a 1 year deal with a 1 year player option.  Who knows.  OR maybe there's a sign and trade for Howard from Houston and Sully from Boston in return.

With Mozgov getting what he got from the Lakers, can Sully be that far behind?  Would you rather have Sully or pay an extra $3M or so and get Howard?

I just don't think the C's would have to give up nearly that much for Noel (and I definitely wouldn't). Philly needs to unload some centers and if Boston can get Noel for 3 prospects who aren't going to get playing time anyway, I think it'd be smart.

As for being a rental, as far as I know, Noel would be a restricted FA next season (I'm only pretty sure changing teams wouldn't alter that) and its very very rare for a player to jump teams while restricted, coming off their rookie contracts.
