as the nba presses the reset button and the phones and rumors are flying and the amounts of cash that everybody has and are throwing out there
isaiah and avery are going to be looking around at players getting huge sums
turner is even looking at LA
LA is looking at zeller
and the lowly nets can sign multiple free agents and threaten next years pick
how the heck can you keep a team together
how do you get guys to play at 110% putting their careers on the line when lesser players are getting huge bucks
how do you keep team and fan morale up as players you rooted for opt out
free agency has even extended as far as brexit
and the stars are now running the nba and their teams
no wonder the players are so buddy buddy and us older guys can remember the team rivaries that bordered on hatred
lets see if horford leaves, lets see if durant leaves or if the nets catapult themselves out of basement
this player got this much today, so whats that player worth
can't wait till summer league-i hope the rookies aren't saying look how much those guys are getting can't wait till im a star and can opt out-

"Extended as far as Brexit"? Really?

And we're to feel sorry for or doubt the ability or willingness of young men paid $7-8M a year to play the game of basketball with full energy or commitment?

We don't really need them to jeopardize their health for the game and most big stars still end up re-signing with their current teams. But it is more fun and entertaining and an intriguing part of the competition when players do change teams with some regularity--as well, of course, as giving the players agreed to autonomy in providing their services to the market.

The inmates may be running the asylum, but we are paying for their meals.
