Our old friend Rick does wear on players, could be a reason

Got a couple sources who listed a lot of teams besides Mavericks for Chandler Parsons' FA destination. He will be moving on.

Mavs beat writer.

Per ESPN

Quote
The divorce comes after the Mavs made it clear they had no intention to offer a maximum contract to Parsons, whose two seasons in Dallas both ended prematurely due to surgeries on his right knee. Parsons expects to sign a max deal and said as much during a recent question-and-answer session with fans on Twitter.

I wouldn't give a max contract to Parsons either. His knee issues are too worrisome to rationalize giving him a max deal.

He's meeting with Portland tonight I think.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Not willing to sign Parsons for the max, given his recent injury history. Particularly since we have Crowder and now Brown in the fold. I think we should address the hole in the middle first (Dwight or Horford).

Of course, KD is the exception

Parsons would help us a lot, but with Brown on the roster, we should be aiming for a cheaper backup forward.

... and maybe a healthier one?
I don't understand Portland on that one. They like to play roulette?

Parsons' injury is apparently not that bad.

Quote
This injury is nowhere near as severe as the cartilage damage in the same knee that Parsons suffered last spring, leading to hybrid microfracture surgery and a difficult rehab process that stretched well into this season. Sources say the scope on Parsons' knee is expected to be "a clean-up," not a full repair of the meniscus, and that he could resume basketball activities within six weeks. His offseason workout program should be pretty close to routine.

Memphis makes some sense for him. They will be looking for a SF and have room for a max guy. Would be weird if his last 3 teams were all division rivals!
