This would suggest Horford is on KDs list would it not?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure getting Horford will require getting rid of Kanter's and Singler's fat contracts, which no team in the league will be stupid enough to take.

They could renounce rights on Waiters and could probably get rid of Ilyasova, but Kanter and Singler clog up their remaining cap if they were to get Horford.

Yeah that's horrible news.

They don't need Waiters, Ilyasova, Singler, or even Kanter right now.

If that's true, I believe KD in OKC becomes a 100% thing.
I doubt it he probably wants change. This report comes after his meeting with OKC very interesting and good for us. We're the only team that can sign both without gutting everybody

Yes, all have been said in the espn article. They can make it happen.
Interesting if this is post OKC meeting. That would make our chance somehow better.

Bruh...the thunder are ruining everyone's offseason
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

1) he hasn't met with OKC yet.
2) the pieces they'd be getting rid of are and/or would be unnecessary (Singler sucks, Kanter isn't needed with Horford).

This report doesn't surprise me much. Donovan is his college coach.

They will have to gut their team to sign Horford. Im pretty confident they won't be able to sign him if they resign Durant.

"Gutting their team" means getting rid of Kanter, Singler, Waiters, and Ilyasova, most likely. Waiters is kinda not needed with Oladipo on board since they're pretty duplicative, Singler sucks, and Ilyasova is meh. They can keep the important parts. The only significant loss would be Kanter. If needed, they can also decline Morrow's option and trade a guy like McGary. In other words, they would just need to clear their books of duplicative and/or mediocre players, at least three of whom don't play.

Ilyasova is a free agent, so there is some cash.   Did people really think they were going to sit and let their best player waltz over to us?    They are going to try to fight to keep him folks.   I thought they were making room for Horford once they dealt Ibaka.

Ilyasova isn't a free agent, but the Thunder could cut him and owe him just $400k versus the $8.4 million he's gonna make next year.

Let's not be naïve.  If these guys want to play with each other, they talk to each other. Technically, it is against the rules, but that didn't stop LeBron from colluding with Wade and Bosh.
