When is the last time a superstar has met with multiple teams in free agency...and actually stayed with his current team, because I can't think of one off the top of my head.

Shaq- left Orlando
Lebron- left Cleveland
Howard- left Los Angeles

I'm sure I'm missing a few players

Yes true, Tracy McGrady is another when he went to Orlando.

Stoudemire going to New York.

I can't think of one Superstar that has held team meetings then resigned with his current team, that is why I truely see him leaving.

Melo.

Met with the Rockets, Bulls, and one or two more teams before taking the 5 year max in New York.
Play to win.  Always.

Yes I knew I was forgetting one thanks.

Melo is always been one for money and this is his hometown team that he originally forced a trade to so yes he is contrary to the norm but circumstances are very different in this occasion I believe.

Dwyane Wade in 2010. He gave the Bulls a second meeting, but went back to Miami.

Melo, Bosh in 2014, Tim Duncan, Kobe. It's not exactly unprecedented.

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

Oh yeah, Jason Kidd. The Spurs wanted to sign him right after they beat the Nets in the Finals.
