He's going to San Antonio, imo.

Golden State could use a center in Pau Gasol lol.

But so can the Celtics.

I don't ever want to see him in green.  I hate him.  I hate his face.

Isn't Gasol a treadmill player at this stage like Noah?

not sure what you mean by this. Hes too old to be like a core piece, but hes way better than Noah at this point in his career. He just averaged 17-11 with 2 blocks.

Hed be an ideal 1 year max guy, but I wouldnt imagine hed be interested.

Maybe. The guy is lighting up the rebounding department though his last couple of all star seasons. I believe he goes to the all star game yet again in green if he's added. He's still got it.

Would make a lot of sense, but could he and Aldridge coexist? Kinda similar players I think

Yeah, if we strike out on Durant and want to save our cap room for next year, I like the idea of giving gasol a 2 year/50 mill deal with the 2nd year only being guaranteed for like 2 mill.  If nothing else the guy would make around 27 mill for one year with the celtics.  that would be a fairly good offer for a guy his age.

This, and personally, I think his true impact at this stage is minimal at best.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

FWIW, I met Isaiah Thomas at an autograph signing today.  I asked if there were any players other than the ones we keep hearing about (Durant and Horford) that he'd like to see the team sign.  He said, "anybody", but then after thinking about it for a second he mentioned Pau Gasol.

Gasol can still play.  He'd make sense if we are looking for a short term upgrade.

Probably, offensively, given Pau's passing ability and added range so that he doesn't have to play as close to the basket nearly as much, anymore, but defensively, I have no idea, although it doesn't look good, lol.  I was just going off of something I saw where Marc told him to go there ;D, and Pau nearly signed with the Spurs instead of the Bulls, iirc, in 2014, anyway.  Meh, I really don't care where that lazy, whiny ex-Laker goes, to be honest, lol, just so long as it isn't here.

Barf.  His stats are pretty empty and he's not a good defender, anymore, even though the effort in that category was always questionable, for him, imo.

I can't believe he is 35..he is clearly is taking care of his body and if you look at his stats they haven't dipped. he can still provide some kind of rim protection, he can score on the block and pass. upgrade over Amir anyday. be he won't come cheap at 35....you have to pay the man because he is still a productive player.
