Pretty shocked by the amount of people that think Rondo wants to go to Brooklyn. He just was complaining about the lack of professionalism on the sacramento team and is also coming off a terrible experience in Dallas. Is there really a chance he goes to a bottom 3 team in the league for a few more bucks? I thought like him or hate him, Rondo does want to win and is competitive no?

It's a matter of process of elimination.

How many teams are going to need a starting point guard?

Chicago, probably.

Brooklyn.

Sacramento.

Dallas, maybe.

Memphis, maybe, but they just drafted a point guard.

Anybody else?

Just seems like Brooklyn may be the only place that will be able to offer Rondo a starting spot, if he doesn't stay in Sacramento.

Before Bird made the move for Teague, I thought that Rondo would go to Indiana.  Larry's always been a fan of his, iirc, and PG would probably average close to 30 ppg playing with Rondo, lol ;D. Now I have absolutely no idea.  Didn't Cousins really want him to stay?

Love all the educated Durant to Boston guesses in here, haha.  I get the wishful thinking, though.

Surprised nobody else thinks Miami is a possible landing spot for Horford.  Seems like a classic Pat Riley signing, to me, if Whiteside ends up leaving.

I mean they have a lot of pretty players that are free agents including whiteside, deng, wade and joe johnson. They have 48 committed to Bosh, Dragic, McRoberts (a brutal signing) and Winslow. You figure it is hard to see Wade taking less than 15. What happens with the other guys?

I figure Wade will wait to see what else Riley does in free agency.  If nothing, Wade will probably want to get paid.  But if taking a pay cut is what is necessary to bring in a legit max guy who can give the Heat a chance in the East next year, I wouldn't be surprised if Wade took 10-15.

Whiteside I expect to sign elsewhere, and Deng is probably a plan B for them since Winslow will be knocking on the door of a starting spot.

Joe may be motivated to stick around in Miami.  Wouldn't be surprised if he took the MLE.  He's made a lot of dough in his career.  Money shouldn't be an issue.

Dragic - Wade - Joe - Winslow - Horford

Probably not enough to win the East without incredible luck, but I think they could run that team out there and still have a shot at Durant or some other max guy next summer, if Bosh ends up retiring.

I said New Orleans, he would be a good fit with Buddy and Davis.

If he leaves SAC I strongly believe Boogie will not stay in SAC

Fantastic podcast that goes through this. Few guys select each team and one guy pretends to be the agents and FAs and they go through each scenario.

Sadly they understate how much cap space that the Cs could get to.
We're the ones we've been waiting for.

Conley makes so much sense for the Spurs that they shouldn't even bother chasing Durant.
