In five games as a starter, Aldrich averaged 15.8 points and 11 rebounds last year. It's 11.6/9.3 per start in his career (just 23 starts).

Not saying he's a star or even a starter, but he could be a useful piece for a reasonable price, considering we could be without Sully, Zeller and Amir (with KO coming back from shoulder surgery). And for a forum that salivates over Jordan Mickey's per-minute stats, it's kind of amusing to see Aldrich's dismissed out of hand.

He can rebound and block shots fine for a backup center. He's also slow and foul-prone. I think Zeller is a better option.

How do people still like Zeller, he is by far the worst.

Honestly, with the roster crunch as it is we should not even consider anyone unless they are very very good.  Otherwise, just use what we have (including rookies).
