Not the big splash that people might want, but Zaza is a solid veteran who could play a good role on this team.  He would be one of if not our best rebounder and I have read he is a popular player wherever he lands.  I bet he could be had for less than others and would be a good under the radar signing.

Not option number one, but maybe a nice role player if the C's can't land the big guys or need to fill out the roster after a larger signing.  We could use a legitimate Center, and Zaza could be that guy.  Little to no rim protection, but a solid rebounder and veteran presence at a position of need.  I would be all for it if it wasn't a crazy contract.

Thoughts?

Possibly, but there is so much that needs to play out first.

Agreed. This is definitely a backup plan. Like I said, could be a good under the radar signing, especially if we need a big man and he is still available.

We will need to add a big man for sure.

TP to the OP....love the idea.

I think that he would pair real well with KO.....like ying and yang

Ones soft (finesse), one's tough

One plays inside, the other outside

One's a playmaker, the other is a grinder

Amir/Horford and Zaza/KO,  and you can mix and match goes pretty well.

Love it. Also Horfors and Pachulia got along really well in Atlanta and Zaza imo has been super underrated on both Mil and Dallas last 2 years.

I think he'd fit great and could be had for reasonable $

Wouldn't min having him but I'm afraid he's going to cost a lot.

He would be an excellent fit here.  Give him the Amir Johnson 1/1 overpay special.

Edit:  aaaaand the Warriors got him, cheap.  Then presumably cut the power to my street.  What a day.

So the Mavericks and Warriors swapped centers basically.  That's a sneaky really good signing by the Warriors.

After they signed Durant and Pachulia, the Warriors front office came by my house, kicked my dog, popped my car tires, ate everything in my fridge, and took a dump on my sofa.

I wonder how much money he turned down from other teams.  That has to be an expensive ring he just bought.
