Haven't seen any major source report this yet, so I'm not sure how credible it is. Either way, though, they have no shot at Durant. They're not even close to title contention, even with their cap space.

Agreed.  Allegedly is the key word.  I think wherever he goes will be a one and one deal (player option the second year).  I feel good about Boston's chances.  Durant would be the go to guy, surrounded by really good role players and an all star in IT, a great coach and organization, and one heck of a fan base.  Plus we could sign a buddy of his if needed.

Yeah, this season absolutely killed their chances. It's a pretty big turnaround from them being the non-OKC favorite a year ago.

This guy clearly isn't legit, he follows 10x times the people who follow him. That is the mark of someone who would do anything to get follows, including making up fake rumors.

It brings me great joy that we are getting a meeting and the Lakers/Knick aren't. For so long the narrative everywhere was that all the good free agents only sign in the major markets and Boston never has a chance.

Which just further shows why Durant is a perfect fit in Boston. He's not persuaded by the bright lights of Hollywood or NYC. He just wants to win.
