I'd like to start both Jaylen and Jae.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Brown should not start. He's a 19 year old rookie.

If Brown earn's the starting spot over Crowder, absolutely start him.  But don't start him just because he's a top pick.  He was picked high for his potential, not his NBA readiness
This. He won't be the first #3 draft pick to come off the bench and he won't be the last.

And besides, if he does start I'd rather see him and Crowder start together as the two forwards.

Barring Durant being here,  I don't think we draft a guy 3 and not just start him.  Crowder is a good player but is more a guy who can start or come off the bench.  Crowders role here in general is in question.

We are different than Philly where we are trying to win games at the same time. But they started Okafor.  I think most players picked in the top 3 start off the bat.

Jabari came off the bench for a bit. But just start the dude.
Can he first prove that he can shoot better than 29% on all jump shots and 10% on all shots taken from the right baseline before we start him over a solid two way veteran?

No chance Brown will be as good as Crowder as a rookie. Play him 25 minutes off the bench.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
He probably won't start.
He'll probably take Evan Turner's role.

During his post draft interview yesterday morning he said he was looking forward to coming in off the bench and filling in for AB and Jae.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

He should play the time he earns, period.
