Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

I think 30+ Hall of famers is overkill lol.

IT, Bradley, and Crowder. (Bradley played with Durant in Texas). If you can sign Horford quick or someone else on Durants list bring them in.

As for outsiders, how sick would it be to have Bill Russell, Larry Bird and Paul Pierce all in the room trying to convince you to sign with the Celtics. The last two obviously wont help due to prior obligations but imagine.

Other than that just give me Danny, Wyc and some of the owners I guess. Wyc and Danny have to rehearse that speech 100 times a day for every day until the meeting.

P.S A little excited about KD lately Larbrd? :P Youre usually a realist at all cost. I give us a 5% chance at KD which is infinitely better than 0%.

I wonder if Danny and Brad will decide to keep it low key and basketball focused, and go alone.  It could send the wrong message (like "do they really care that much if only these two came"), but it could also just keep the meeting focused on basketball, which is important.  I could see Danny starting off, saying a bit about how the team has done, the players we have, and the assets we can use to get others, then handing off to Brad for a really detailed run down of how Durant would fit in.  I could even see Danny/Brad having proposed deals/fits for players Durant likes.

Either that or go for the "be a legend" pitch and invite Tommy and Bill

I love this idea. "Kevin we know [insert] and [insert] are both players you'd really like to play with. We have contacted their respective teams and have trades agreed to with each of them to assemble this team to your liking. All you have to do is sign on the dottd line and we will make these trades and do our best to make you a champion."

This is exactly what will happen imo.
I could see them taking Jae and IT and talking about being under dogs. But I think it will be Ainge and Brad.
The best asset we have is Brad. Just let him talk.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Bill Russell and KG, and Paul Pierce. Those three would come to bat for us, and they are all you need to convince KD.
KG and Paul Pierce would 100% not come to bat with us.

If I wasn't so lazy, I'd make a recruiting video and mail it to the Celtics.

you'd have to have morgan freeman narrate it.

In addition to the obvious Ainge, Stevens, and presumably Wyc, I'd expect IT to be there.

My hope would be that our meeting is late enough in the process to at least have Al Horford call in and tell KD to join him in Boston.

Yeah, I think this is how it'd have to work. Sign Al Horford at the start of free agency. Have him, IT, and Crowder attend the meeting with Stevens and Ainge.

Bradley is really good friends with Durant , attended a church meeting with him the last time okc played in Boston

Gotta have ab there too.
They are both UT products.

I think just Tom Brady. Literally, no one else.

Tom is arguably the greatest man in American history. That topic may be better suited for another thread but I think most here will readily agree. So why go further? It'd just serve to muddy the waters.

He could teach KD how to overinflate the balls and then plead ignorance when he's caught red handed. Sounds great.
