The Celtics drafted 2 PF's who are capable of shooting 3's. One who probably won't be here for a year and one who will be fighting for a spot on the roster immediately. My first thought is that this is bad news for Sully resigning with the team.

My second thought is, maybe Sully is still the best rebounder on this roster and maybe that makes him the best option at center alongisde all of these PF's.

I hope it means "Good luck wherever you land".

I'm ready to part ways with Sully.  Give his minutes to Mickey and hope he develops better.

He is our Center right now, which is not ideal, but he was ok last year. I wouldnt mind keeping him for another year of hoping he becomes something more, but if we get a legit two way center then its goodbye

Sully's future will be determine by what he gets offered as a restricted free agent.  I don't think Ainge will match any significant offer.

Unless Ainge sees a very depleted market, I don't see him matching anything above $5 million or so. If Sullinger signs an offer sheet, I don't see Ainge playing that game and simply move on.

I think the ship has sailed for Sully.

If he doesn't care about his conditioning then why should the Celtics. Like Big Baby before him, we're left to wonder what could have been.

Let another team deal with his take it or leave it attitude.

It means Guerschon has replaced him once and for all!
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Guerschon is Sully with a better body, more athletic, better shooter and a better attitude.

Every year Sully has had Issues with his weight..  Last year he faded when they needed him most down the stretch due to conditioning (or the lack thereof)

At this point it would almost be foolish to keep him around - Its' obvious that he cannot stay in the kind of shape everyone else on the team is required to be in..

I am not sure that 8 boards a game is enough.

Same body but can actually shoot and move. I'll take it.

Someone will give Sully 10-12 I bet.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

It doesn't really mean much at all, since Sullinger returning was a longshot from the very start of the offseason. Someone's probably giving him 40-60 million over 4 years this summer, and I don't see Boston matching that.

Ainge better not, he is not worth it.  Risky every year to break down, get out of shape or run out of gas.

I hope we offer the qualifying offer, if no one takes it, you cut him and move on.   If I was Ainge, I would be tired of all the chances he gave him.
