Note: I think the Isaiah deal has now been fully completed. The 28th pick was originally a Cleveland pick right? We got it from the Zeller deal, shipped it to Phoenix in the IT deal, and now Phoenix incredibly used it to help them move up to 8!

Now, not considering the fact that the Kings lost this trade big time, Skal at 28 is lowkey pretty good value for them.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I'm still wondering why the Kings drafted papagiannis so high
He was considered a early or mid 2nd rounder

Plus there was good talent still on the board
They draft 2 centres when they have cousins and WCS
Though I like Malachi Richardson pick

Kings have the worst management
Bad trades and drafting
But still they should be last if it weren't for cousins

He may blow up the relationship before 2018 .

I wouldn't consider Labissiere to be an NBA 5. He's tall, but stick thin. Shot-blocking stretch four. If he's lucky maybe he'll be Channing Frye.

Papagiannis was just a bizarre pick. I understand why Cousins would be p---ed -- "we want to move forward and we're reaching for a guy to back me up?"

But he should stay away from Twitter ...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Kings do a classic Kings move and traded Marquiss Chriss (a guy a lot of people saw as the #3 pick and the most upside in the draft) to trade down to #13 or something?  The Suns were debating between Bender and Chriss at #4 and ended up with both of them.

They still appear to be one of the two worst run franchises in the NBA.  It's amazing how consistent they are.

And they picked a guy who is neither at a position of need nor best player available.

He will be prime trading material next off season. Not this.

I read he was going to a sculpting class. Not draft related, just a coincidence.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

I think it's time to hit up the Kings, and if not now, then at the deadline.

Cousins and Gay

for

Brown, Rozier, Amir, Jerbeko, Young, and BKN 2018

It's a boatload of cap freedom, and two top 3 picks, plus young talent in Rozier, and "talent" (ie salary filler to make the trade work) in Young.

You guys are complaining about our draft? Look at the mess the Kings just made. We are playing with house money anyway. The trade of the decade. PP/KG were not going to bring us another ring. DA made the right move, and we wouldn't even be able to consider half the options we hash out on this blog, if it weren't for that stroke of genius.

The other option to this trade would be to offer the ultimate king's ransom for Cousins and send Sacramento BKN 2017 (which we will likely have to do some kind of 2017 draft day "trade"), but in other words, they end up with top 3-5 picks two years in a row.....on top of the likely two top 3-5 picks they will have from sucking so hard.

They just chernoblyed their whole nucleus with that horrible trade. Cousins will scream his way out, and we are for sure one of the only teams to be able to offer a legit haul.

For what it's worth, here's an article on Cousins' own explanation of the tweet.
