According to Mitch Lawrence....

According to sources, the Wiz are locked in on making a major offer to Joakim Noah. The Wizards are said to be willing to offer Noah, coming off shoulder surgery that KO’d him in January, a full maximum contract. His deal would start at $28 million and reach around $120 million over four seasons.

Wow this is crazy

Danny needs to try and trade for someone using our cap space that way.

That would honestly be the worst contract I have ever heard of. Do they think he is just going to be magically healthy? Have they  already forgotten what is was like to have the broken down Nene on a big contract? If true, this is absolutely ludicrous... wow

That contract would be ridiculous.  Straight up ridiculous.

Wow, what a bad idea

This is the exact type of "win now/sacrifice flexibility" deal that I hope Danny avoids.  This will be a tough hole to dig out of in a year or two, especially if Beal's injuries are a long-term issue

But hey, at least they'll make the playoffs next year, right?  Right?
I'm bitter.

  • Anything is possible!
That would be insane. To offer Max for Noah is simply crazy and the most stupid thing for their franchise to ever do

Does he really help them make the playoffs? The bulls had way more talent in Rose, Butler, Gasol, Gibson, Mirotic etc and still couldn't make it. Is Beal, Porter, Wall, Gortat any better?

Why? I mean they already have Gortat.

How about fixing some of their other obvious needs.

I'd love to see John Wall paired with some big men who can actually shoot the ball, stretch the floor and create open lanes for him. Wall would be devastating. Washington continues to undermine their star player's effectiveness.

Hired Scott Brooks - horrible move.  The Wizards reportedly aren't even on the list of teams Durant will meet with.  Now offering a majorly inflated contract to an injured, declining center?  That's approaching Sacramento level of incompetency.

If Beal's healthy and Porter is consistent, they'll be fighting for the 8 seed.  Noah would be the veteran presence like Pierce was in 2015 (but worse and overpaid)

No guarantee they'd make the playoffs, but they'd be in the fight
I'm bitter.

Wizards using same GM as NETS

He'll be a broken cripple by the fourth year. His game is too intense and physical for him to survive in one piece at his age.

I would not expect him to join a team with Brooks this soon ...if he leaves even if they were good friends.

KD ......like Cousins and KG before them .....need a NEW team, coach , GM , teammates , city and fresh start.
