Giles two knee injuries or past injuries does not sound good

I was just having fun posting the 2018 mock draft, but it's remarkable that even if we add Durant, we will still be able to add high level prospects.  As those guys reach their prime, Durant will be reaching his mid 30's.  As others have pointed out the last couple of days, he can enjoy a similar late career as Duncan has had.  He should really take that into consideration.

Yeah, that scares the crap out of me, but he's an incredible talent.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

A top 3 pick would make me go with best player available - even if it's a 6-5 PF or a 6-8 SG - some of those guys will be too good to pass on.

A 4th or 5th pick and I'm looking at one of the 3 giant wingspan centers of Thomas Bryant, Marques Bolden, or Jarrett Allen or 6-9 big time athlete Bam Adebayo.

Wow, no "Who cares, Danny's just gonna screw up as always" comments yet?  Color me surprised

Tough to say after you re-evaluate that draft class. Quality at its finest all across the board.

I think its great that we are looking at the 2017 draft because although I dont know how other teams will view that Brooklyn pick now, it could be used as a chip to get a player this summer. Say you get Durant and another free agent. Whose to say you cant use that 2017 pick to get a guy that puts you in serious contention?

It's huge. Everyone knows Brooklyns roster. That's a pick that could be moved sooner rather than later. Not only that one, but 2018 as well. Couple them both up & there you go.

In 2017, point guards take five of the 10 spots in our top 10. That's welcome news for NBA teams who have seen a dearth of point guards in the draft the past several years.

I know we shouldn't look too far ahead, but assuming the room was split between Brown and Dunn this is a little tidbit that makes me feel better about going with Brown.

According to the Bleacher Report Big Board, though, the only top-10 picks that aren't SF or PG are the guys at 2, 9 and 10, with Giles being the guy at #2. Hope the knees are good.

OK, no franchise centers until maybe 2018.  So no matter what, offer a max to Horford and trade the rights to the Brooklyn 2017 swap if it brings a decent center.

Draft Express has 4 bigs in its top 10.  Harry Giles at 1, Thomas Bryant at 7, Marques Bolden at 8, Edrice Adebayo at 9, and Jarett Allen at 10.

I'm pretty sure this is one draft pick, regardless where it falls (likely top 6 after the ping pong balls), will be traded for sure (nothing is certain though when it comes to DA) this time.
p.s. has anyone seen Malik Monk, Kentucky signee, play? Oh my!
