I would be fine with adding Noah and Dudley on short deals then chasing Hayward, Ibaka or Blake in FA in 2017.

People need to be patient and let our draft picks develop.

Sounds like a good plan to me. While I'd be happy with Noah, I'd also be okay with a long-term option at center.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
-Find a way to move 1 or 2 of Hunter, Mickey, Young.
-Attempt to sign Sully to a cheap/bargain deal given his small cap hit and use as a potential asset on a cheap deal. If we can't get him cheap let him walk with Zeller.
-let Turner walk and forget about signing Dudley. If we are signing another SF they need to be young and a potential trade asset, but the aim is to get Brown into the line up asap with at least 20 mins a game.
-Bring Yubersele in immediately and let him compete for bench minutes - he's physically ready to compete with Olynyk for minutes and the quicker he plays the quicker his D will sharpen up.
-bring in Zizic immediately with same aim as Yubersele.
-Bring in Demetrius Jackson immediately as above.
-resign Amir and Jerebko.

Roster:

IT/Rozier/Jackson
Bradley/Smart/Hunter/Brown
Crowder/Brown
Olynyk/Yubersele/Jerebko
Amir/Zizic/Mickey

Grab some free agents if a true game changer becomes available.
*Hopefully upgrade Olynyk with Kevin Love.

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

I think Yubersele will be stashed.

Sullinger will definitely be given a contract above 12M/Year so buh-bye Sully.

I want to keep Mickey but wouldn't mind dealing Young and Hunter.

Love isn't available and even if he is it will still cost a ton.

I think Zizic being 19 means he's more likely to be stashed and Yurschon and Bentil ( who i forgot about lol) will play before Zizic in the nba.

Love could certainly be available. I just said i hope we get him.

Danny Ainge somehow gets something valuable for Jared Sullinger.

We pick up an unheralded shooter (maybe Seth Curry) and he kills it for us

Banner 18 please 😍

GSW are targeting Batum, Noah & Horford. Cross those 3 off our lists.

They'll automatically get them?

Not necessarily but if they are in on the chase what is the chance any of them would prefer here to there? That's not even considering everyone else in on it.

Well, supposedly we turned down some good role player deals in order to keep our maximum cap space this summer with Danny having certain plans for that space. I'd really like to know his ideal plans for free agents this summer.

Also suggests Noel was certainly in play as reported.

I predict that Ainge will be calling the Kings about the (possibly again) disgruntled Mr. Cousins.

At this point the young guys have to play or I am done with Ainge.  Brown is the number three pick in the draft, he better be getting at least 20 minutes per game or why did you take him? There is still a glut of guards even without Dunn.

There is no point in retaining Turner or Sullinger.  There is no point in signing Dudley or Horford types.  None are superstars or are 19-20 with that potential.

I have no interest in the purgatory path that tops out as the Hawks.  Smart, Rozier and Brown all need tons of minutes.   Get rid of Young and probably Hunter, they aren't NBA players.

Several teams behind the Celtics have young stars or potential stars who get minutes.  I like the rosters of the Pistons, Jazz, TWolves, Sixers a lot better than the 27 role players trend that Danny seems ok with.  These supposedly vaunted "assets" are yielding little.  We'll see about Brown but don't be surprised if he is just another role player type.

Mickey should get minutes plus one of the picks behind KO and Amir.  If none of these guys are stars then we'll know and will tank and have more shots at hitting a home run.  I don't think there is anything close to a superstar on this roster.  Guys like Brown rarely if ever become superstars.

I don't see any chance of KD coming here so it is not like it is championship mode.  Let the kids play and try to maximize cap space for next season.  There are going to be some great prospects this next draft.

I love the energy in coaching of this roster but they max out as an early play off exit team that are more built for the regular season.

I think "perpetually" disgruntled is a more accurate term lol
