We should absolutely WAIT until we are on the clock. It would be the draft blunder of the decade, if the Lakers somehow choose Murray/Bender/Hield/etc.....and then we happen to lose out of Brandon Ingram at #3.
It's just a draft strategy move. A simple covering of our own ass. I'm all for trading #3 for Noel/Okafor or a combination of them and/or the right package. Just not until the commissioner announces that "The Boston Celtics are on the clock...." and the names Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram have been called.
