I watched the NBA.com interview he had with Isiah Thomas.  He looked good knocking down shots.

Jeeze. Really it shows you how good these professional athletes really are at their craft. Brown is not considered a good shooter, yet he was still able to put up 76% of his three point attempts in 100 tries.

I think it's a bit of all of this, but also that Brown's jumper is not as broken as some believe.

who knows what this will mean in games, when defenses pressure him. but it is encouraging.

imagine brown with a good jumpshot. it makes him a far more valuable player.

ainge watched it all, so if the celtics pick brown i will trust in this choice. but then, i will have to trust in any choice he makes.

Another thing for Murray and Heild to worry about is some scouts are saying Brown is a a wing not simply a SF. That his ability to attack the paint and defend 1-3 makes him a far superior prospect to Murray and Heild to play SG. Not sure how much I think he can improve his shot to help spread the floor but the attacking the paint and defending is true.

I'd venture to say he'll be able to defend 1-4. With his body, how many power forwards in today's game could really punish him? Maybe four or five, at most?

definitely not broken if he is able to knock down 76 3s in my opinion. Something he can definitely work on, and not important in my opinion if he can knock down 33% of the time.

In my opinion, I want an explosive wing, shooting is a nice bonus.

Question: anyone know how much Smart was able to hit for the Cs pre-draft?

It makes me think he'll be able to knockdown wide open jumpers, which is huge for a guy that can drive. I'd need to see more about his ability to deal with pressure and how quick his release is to feel confident about his shooting, but this is definitely encouraging

Also, if this info is accurate and is put out by us, that's Danny's "justification" for picking him.

(As if he needed one, but it makes it more palatable to sell to the masses, as many were concerned with both his jumpshot and his poor decision making and forcing the issue so often at Cal.)
