just heard...listening live to T & R, not the best sports talk show, but much better than WEEI....I will post the link when I get it...
At least Toucher and Rich mostly talk about sports. I'm tired of Jerry Callahan's political rants. Also, their interviews with Ainge are typically pretty good.

Have to wonder if the Jazz would prefer players to draft picks. Marcus Smart would make some sense for them.

They would laugh in our face. The probably want Thomas since they are not rebuilding over there.
If They are trading their best player on their team, they are blowing it up. Hayward is the reason that team almost made the playoffs last year.

Not true. Their roster is pretty loaded and have Hood, Exum, and Burks at the 2/3. So trading Hayward for the #3 and drafting Dunn would shore up their weakest position and a spot that had them starting Neto, Burke (bust), and Mack (another Butler alum) last season.

This will leave them with the following, which doesn't include who they draft at #12 on Thursday:

Bigs- Gobert, Favors, Lyles
Wings- Hood, Exum, Burks
PG- Dunn

Welcome to Boston Gordon

So why did they reject the Celtics call ?  Unless they didnt and something is nearly complete

To Jazz:  Young, Amir, #3 ,# 35
To Celtics: Hayward

Kinda think that the Jazz were saying that BEFORE today's report from Hayward.
I see this as a lose-lose trade.

Jazz trade away their best player for a pick that may turn out to be no better than Hayward.

Celts get Hayward who will definitely be no better than Hayward, plus the #3 pick.

I'm pretty sure the reason why the Jazz "rebuffed" the Celtics offer recently was because it didn't include the 3rd pick. Otherwise, I would think the Jazz would be ready to pick Dunn.

In all likelihood, the deal on the table is Bradley and multiple 2nds for Hayward.

I don't think the Celtics are going to give up the 3rd that easily.

We are not getting Hayward without giving up the 3, and I am fine with that. He will fit perfectly into our system.  Crowder comes off the bench? Starting Power forward?  Or does he get included in the trade for something bigger (like Favors?)

It's hilarious that Toucher and Rich have become the better sports talk hosts who are more focused on sports, considering they got their start as DJs on WBCN (a rock station).
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon

You don't evaluate trades based on the word "may". There is always uncertainty in both directions. That reasoning would lead to no trades ever.

I hope this trade goes down if for no other reason to throw it back in the face of ESPN.

If he doesn't want to be in Utah, then we are in the driver's seat.

We don't NEED him...he is not the missing piece(s).  However, for the "right" price, which doesn't include #3 pick, we'll take him off your hands Utah.

Negotiating...what a concept!

Dunn would be perfect in Utah. Can play alongside exum or take his place if he is a bust. They already have wings to take Hayward place. Hood and Burke

Assuming that somehow Hayward does get traded to Boston, does that still leave the door open for either KLove? Noel/Okafor?

Who might the C's pair with Hayward?

yes. Hood was the one-two punch with Hayward.

Why would I give up anything of value for him? The guy has a year left and, if he really is unhappy in Utah, we'll have a shot at him then.

Any deal for Hayward would have to include a S&T.

Hard to say drivers seat

Phoenix is also interested

They have some attractive young players they can send back plus their pick. Like archie goodwin

You can bet CBS would really love to have Gordon

What if utah wants crowder plus 3 for hayward and 12?

I think the Celts need to consider
