Idea: C's get Butler & Noel

Saw this proposed by @RyGuy273 on Twitter. I like it.

Bulls get: Okafor, Bradley, Rozier, #16 + #31
76ers get: Rose, #3 + top 3 protected Nets/Cs 2017 pick
Celtics get: Butler, Noel

I proposed a similar trade of us getting Noel AND Butler yesterday, though I don't know how much interest they'd have with Rose AND Rozier with them picking Dunn at 3.

Also, this trade doesn't work likeso. It'd have to be more something like this:

its far fetched ... but yea that would be the best scenario I've seen yet..

you can protect that nets 17 pick, then it would become the Celtics 2018 pick if it fell too low

You can't protect a pick you don't have yet. If we were protecting a pick it would have to be the one in 2018.

Why on earth would the 76ers do that deal?  Rose is on a 1 year deal and WON'T resign.  It's terrible for them.  I don't think  the Bulls would do the deal either....

Because they get Dunn and the Net's 2017 pick, although I see the issue with trading/protecting that pick before we've exercised the swap rights.

I might argue that the 2017 pick even if it's not top-3 is likely a better play than either Noel or Okafor. While I'm not sure, I think it's well within the projections for what a lot of scouts are calling the best draft since 2003.

I think this is a good deal for Philly, but I agree that Chicago doesn't make the trade.
