What about:

#3 and filler (Amir, JJ types), more this years picks

for Middleton, Monroe and #13

Than maybe AB, filler for Love

You would have:

IT
Middleton
Crowder
Love
Monroe

Love and Monroe would be a pretty terrible defensive pairing.

True enough but are they worse than what we already have? Would their offense out weight their bad defense? Plus their rebounding would be very good.

The C's would go from a top 10 defense to near the bottom of the league with that lineup. :o

Lol, I don't know what that lineup is about there.

You had me until you suggested AB in a deal for Love...

Likewise!

Happy to do #3 and filler for Monroe and Middleton - doubt the Bucks do that though to be honest.

Monroe is basically one step down from an All-Star level player (he's a perennial 16/10 guy) and he's locked in long term on a good contract.  Add Middleton (who's a pretty good starter) and that's probably a bit much to expect back for #3 alone.

But hey if they're up for it I'm down!

I'm surprised everyone is so against trading #3 for Middleton. I don't think we should trade the pick before we know exactly who it's going to be but Middleton is 24 years old and averaged 18-4-4 with 1.7 steals per game last year, shooting .444/.396/.888. He plays good defense and is exactly the kind of player the Celtics need (a shooting wing who can defend).

What are the odds that anyone rumored to be taken #3 will be as good of a two-way player as Middleton?

Yes. Sullinger/Olynyk and Johnson are head and shoulders above a Monroe/Love pairing defensively.

A bit of #NBADraft chatter: Boston has discussed 3 and a contract for Khris Middleton. Danny Ainge wants to add a scorer. #Celtics
The discussion probably went like this:

Hammond: How about we give you Middleton for the 3?
Ainge: *crickets*

Accurate.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Averaging 18 ppg in 36 minutes is not some sort of a major achievement. You're trading for Jeff Green all over again.

lol What?

Middleton at 24 had a much better season last year than any season Jeff Green ever had. Middleton is a better defender, a better passer, and a much better shooter.

I like Middleton, but not if the price is the third pick.

I'd rather just make the pick ourselves and preserve our cap space.

DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Middleton is as much as a scorer as Bradley or even Crowder... not worth the pick and really not worth a spot in this rotation
