In the spirit of realizing that they need to go full rebuild came and offered Carmelo Anthony for pick #3, Amir Johnson & James Young.

Would you do it?

Something tells me they want Kris Dunn. He's exactly the type of pronadonna who would thrive in the NY spotlight, played ball in Providence, and they have a glaring hole at PG.

Pass, don't want Melo for the 3rd pick. Nothing about him fits with the direction of this team. If it was for the later picks (they wouldn't offer this of course) then we are talking.

Melo has maybe a few years left as a top shelf scorer and valuable overall player.

Not worth a top five pick.

James Young and Amir Johnson are players you don't anticipate being part of the mix next year so you're talking a straight up Melo for Pick #3.
