Do I get a ramp?

Our school team in England, the guys who were tall and athletic enough were discouraged from dunking. "Two points is two points".

Barely. But I tore my Achilles beginning of soph year during basketball practice. Anyways I had to have 2 surgeries and it plagued me until I was forced to quite during JR year and have another surgery. Could not play SR year......one of the worst things to ever happen to me.

Could never dunk (5'9.5"). Closest I got was getting half of my middle finger above the rim (so I could grab the rim but that was a dangerous move). Maybe I could have dunked a tennis ball if I kept trying.

I still have recurring dreams that I can dunk with ease though.

I'd have trouble getting enough vertical on my jump to dunk in a toilet bowl.

I answered no.

I'm short - 5'8" - but could dunk a football / soccer ball back when Larry Bird was doing his thing. I couldn't dunk a basketball because I couldn't palm one hence the no answer. I couldn't do a two handed flush on a 10 foot rim.

Still, it was fun to see the reactions when I out jumped guys 6 inches taller than me.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

I'm way too short (5'7") and never athletic enough -- never even gave it a thought in my younger years, but in my 40's I started to try to work up to touching the rim.  Didn't make it, but probably got as close as an inch away. I'd hurt myself if I tried today.

Same answer for me though I'm 6'1" so your story is impressive.  I could do good dunks with a tennis ball and lame dunks with a girls ball back in the day but I haven't been able to touch the rim in 10 years.  These days it's d, back downs, passing, picks and boxing out.  The days of athletic twists and layups were gone 20 years ago.

Doesn't being dunked on count? If so, yes. If not, no.

lol I've had that happen before.

Dude was on my ship and engineer from down south, can't remember the state. He was only like 6'1" but was super athletic with a solid all around game.

In my Navy days guys LOVED to challenge me because they knew I was the resident shot blocker. I went up to block his drive...actually had my fingertips on the ball but this dude kept rising and rising...I'll never forget it.

He powered over me and got it through the rim. He was an incredible player. So glad that Iphones and the such wasn't present back then.
