Someone posted a similar question in another thread that posed an interesting question: who on CelticsBlog can dunk? I thought it was interesting so I wanted to start a poll to see who here is currently able to or used to be able to dunk a ball.

I m 33 i still can dunk easily..its funny cause I don't dunk during games unless my adrenaline is just pumping and I m wide open. I dunk easily off 2 hands and i used to be able to throw it off the back board and dunk it but I havent done that in like 2 years.  I m maybe 6-3 got some long arms though.

I'm in the same boat I have long arms and am about 6'2... It's ridiculous I can do almost any trick dunk save for through the legs (I've come close) on an open court but I've only ever been able to do basic dunks in pick up games maybe 3 times and never in an actual game... I swear playing in a game takes 15 inches off of your vertical lol

Nope. All I can do is throw elbows and give my team 6 fouls.
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.

I'm in my late 30's and haven't dunked since my early 20's....I tried to add some weight to play more PF (i'm only 6'4) and my knees didn't like the extra weight...two surgeries later I don't dare to even try it.

I first dunked in 7th grade...which is funny because I didn't have any handles at all.

I can proudly dunk on a 9 foot rim.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Not in HS. But in my 20's could throw it down.

5'11, 26"/30" verts=HS not in great shape and never trained
6', 33"/37" verts=Avg in 20s trained 6 days a week.

27 years old, 6'2 with a 6'7 wingspan... Can not dunk.

I've been trying to dunk off 2 feet after not being able to make it work off one foot. I just don't have the ups right now.

It's all in how you jump IMO. Find out if you are better off 1 or 2 and train like that. I can dunk easily off of one but can hardly grab rim off of 2. Makes all the difference in the world.

I'm Zach Lavine 2.0 on an 8 foot rim!

Seriously, though, I about broke my leg attempting to just simply dunk on a 9 foot rim several months back, so, no, I'm not a dunker lol I'd be surprised if I even had a 24" vertical.

I'm 18 and I can dunk easily because I'm about 6'5 and have long arms + decent hops.
I dunked several times in game including 2 semi-poster dunks  ;D

Haven't dunked since my late 30's.

I'm 6'4" with shoes on and can touch the nets flat-footed. Have never had my arms measured.

Haven't tried dunking since my early 40's due to my right Achilles tear.

Probably if I were about a half foot taller with an exceptional wing span.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

I'm 5'10" with same wingspan and could dunk while I was in college playing sports and training. Am now 30 so I don't think so anymore
