You know Dwight Howard is completely flabbergasted that he's not the choice.

I get it from a basketball standpoint, but LeBron actually has a pretty big personality and has already shown enough in the acting department that I think he can hold his own across from Looney Tunes characters.  I mean, not that his acting in "Trainwreck" was Oscar-worthy or anything, but he had no trouble sharing scenes with people like Amy Schumer and she's basically Elmer Fudd with long hair.

I do think a Steph cameo is an absolute necessity.  Just so they can show him shooting the ball from another planet.

I am sure the money men at Warner Bros have done their due diligence in regard to a Minority with Jail House Tats all over his body being the lead in a big box office movie , if they feel that will fly to main steam movie goers then i will go along with their judgement.
They may have to air brush some of the posters if he indeed lands the role.

They'll probably pick bigger names than Sully to be Monstars.  Maybe Thomas can be a tiny little runt Monstar with a big attitude.  Wasn't Muggsy Bogues one of them last time?
