...and you suspect that Durant is going to leave this offseason and Westbrook is going to leave for the Lakers next year, why not go ahead and trade Westbrook for the second overall pick and D'Angelo Russell? Billy Donovan will still have D'Angelo Russell and either Ingram or Simmons to build around...

It would be amusing to see Durant join us while Westbrook ends up with the Lakers...

Westbrook might go to Lakers regardless if KD does leave. I'd say chances jump to 80% or more. They should use 2nd pick to land a dominate big man to pair with Westbrook. Maybe trade Randle and the 2nd pick for Griffin or Cousins. Then flip Russell to Knicks for Melo. Westbrook, Melo, and Cousins would contend..
