Draft: We pick Bender and he truly becomes the next Dirk in 3-4 seasons. We also trade up for Poeltl, who becomes a solid frontcourt addition. Both contribute solidly as rookies.

Free agency: Durant and Howard team-up with IT. I just get the sense these three would "click" with one another in terms of personality and carrying themselves as the new Big Three. If I am Durant, I see Howard + Thomas > Westbrook. If I am Howard, I see Durant + Thomas > Harden. Can our Leprechaun help Danny and Brad convince them to join us?

These simple moves, none requiring an elaborate trade, could put us into championship contention for years to come. We just need to hope Bender is the real deal, Durant can envision being a sports legend on par with Russell and Bird, and Howard truly wants to be Superman this time around...
