I'd still take wiggins over anybody in this draft.

Do you mean pre-draft Wiggins, or given what we know now?  He's been way way way below pre-draft expectations. Poor advanced stats. As Minny I'd trade him for the #3 pick in this year's draft.
Is that you David Kahn?
CB Mock Deadline - Minnesota Timberwolves
Kemba Walker / Tyus Jones / Aaron Brooks
Jimmy Butler / Jamal Crawford / Treveon Graham
Rodney Hood / Nic Batum / Marcus Georges Hunt
Taj Gibson / Nemanja Bjelica / Jonas Jerebko
KAT / Derrick Favors / Cole Aldrich
Picks - 2018 CHA 1st (Lotto protected), none out

4th on a big board. In a draft he could go 4 or 5 depending on who #4 selects. If Phoenix went Brown then Minny are definitely taking him

A few months ago, I was reading an article from the Wolves blog and there were a number of fans who were gushing about Crowder while remaining less than enthused on Wiggins. I won't go as far to say that many of them would do a straight up Wiggins for Crowder swap, but it seemed you could definitely develop a framework without including the #3, Bradley, Smart, or IT.

Again, fans perspective, not GM.

How does he compare to the prospects available like brown, hield, bender, Murray, etc.

There's no way to tell. But it would have been interesting and he would easily be in the mix. All 4 guys are quite different and so it's up to the teams evaluating them and how any given player might fit the system. At this juncture I'm tempted to think that the order would be Murray, Dunn, Smart and Hield but without attending any pre-draft workouts that's simply a pie-in-the-sky guess.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

If Minny would give up the #5 pick for Smart (which they won't), I'd do the deal in a nanosecond. Take Chriss and laugh all the way to the bank.

Smart for #5 OK maybe, but you'd do that to take Chriss? Yikes.

Really? Randle has been bad at everything except rebounding. Smart bests him comfortably in every advanced stat, and the stats can't even capture the size of the gap between them defensively.

Don't care where Smart would go in this draft. He was drafted in a total different prospect group. I wasn't a fan of his selection at #6 n I wouldn't want to draft him this year if he was in this pool. He was a wasted pick IMO

Smart better have a breakout year next season to back up all the OVER hype about him on this board. ::)

Stop reading mock drafts. Form your own opinion.

Kris Dunn seems like a pretty good barometer for how a 21 year old Marcus Smart would be valued in this draft
