Not too sexy but it would be an interesting plan 'B' or 'C'

Celtics send the #3 pick in the NBA draft for Gordon Hayward and the 12th pick. Why do the Celtics do it? They get immediate scoring help that they need in Hayward who averages about 20ppg. Brad Stevens coached Hayward at Butler and would absolutely get the most out of him more than any coach in the league.

Why would the Jazz do it? Just missed the playoffs this year and are in no mans land right now. They blow it up and try for a high pick in next years loaded draft.

Some positives on Gordon for those unfamilliar. His stats last year were ...

19.7ppg 5rpg 3.7apg

He's increased in ppg every year he's been in the league. He was 16th in the league in scoring ahead of Carmelo last year. Second in the league in minutes played. Big work horse with high stamina. 13th in the league in free throw attempts so he frequently drives to the basket (Tommy will love him). Sold anybody yet?

No chance the Jazz do that. They might not even do #3 for Hayward by himself.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Ok, then #3 and 2018 Brooklyn pick for Hayward. If he's available then you do it.

Massive overpay. And one year left before Hayward is a free agent. No thank you.
